As reported in the San Diego Eater:
“Jennifer Alexander and Chris Finch, along with partner David Baker, are behind the brewery, which now runs on a pint-sized one barrel system, though there are plans to expand brewing capacity.
Alexander and Finch aren’t new to beer; they were among the original co-founders of the now-shuttered Firehouse Brewing Company and opened Poor House Brewing Company on 30th Street in 2012.
Barn Brewery will have at least five house beers; among the IPAs being brewed is Supernova Galaxy Smash IPA, which comes in at a sessionable 5% ABV. Filling in the rest of the spot’s 24 taps will be a mix of guest beers.
Open daily from noon to midnight, Barn Brewery is still putting the finishing touches on its kitchen. For now, outside food from food trucks and the adjacent eatery can be brought in but a month from now, a menu of sandwiches, including burgers, will kick in. The brewpub plans to source all their meat from neighboring butchery, The Heart & Trotter, and will have Cafe Madeleine bake their bread.”
